I just installed v3.5.1 manually on 1&1 hosting from scratch. The dashboard loads very slowly (3 mins!) - then when I click on a menu item, nothing happens, just the constant spinning icon. Intermittently might get the page displayed after about 6-8 minutes and any content on that page can be quickly saved, but the next menu item pressed loads the whole page slowly and back to square 1.
Tried it on my PC, iMac, Macbook and iPhone. All the same when accessing via my wireless router. Tried a cabled connection too. Same.
However, other computers in other locations away from here can get on and access all screens quickly and efficiently. So problem only seems to be with this BT connection to 1&1.
So far have spent 3 hours on the phone to both, each alleging the other is responsible.
Flushed DNS, rebooted all devices/routers, opened up firewalls, reset IP address on the router, at BT's request changed Upstream MTU setting. BT say it's 1&1 restricting access. 1&1 deny this is possible as they are only hosting the files. 1&1 are not interested in looking any further into and are adamant it is not at their end. BT say it's nothing to do with them.
I'm not getting anywhere fast here and starting to get desperate. (I would change host from 1&1 but unfortunately it's not my call as this is a client's service).
Any ideas of anything that I can try. (Please spell it out literally as I am not all that tecchy!)
