complex13 on "installation problems"

I've installed WordPress a few time before & not had any problems, but now I can't get to the install.php screen, instead seeing a 404 error.

I can access non-php file like readme.html, so the files have copied across OK.

I'm not sure if I have entered the correct info into my wp-config file; on my hosting site I am given Domain, Server, Hostname, DB Name, & Password.

Probably a stupid question, but what do I put for DB_USER?

Or is there something else I'm doing wrong?
