Sorry about the seemingly offensive title, I just REALLY want to get this to work and I have been messing with it for HOURS. Here is what I'm doing:

I've got a spare computer running Server 2008 R2 on it with IIS 7.5 installed. I created a site, set the bindings for the domain, set the IP, installed PHP, and all the typical stuff you do for setting up a web server in IIS. I have anonymous and basic authenications enabled and All Users should be able to connect.

Okay, so I had a site going for a bit and I decided I wanted to make a wordpress site. So I backed up my original site and then extracted all of the word press files into my original site's root. I installed MySQL, did all of the things like create the DB and the user and blah blah blah. Anytime I try to access the index.php and wp-admin/install.php I keep getting these login requests and 401s and 403s unauthorized and I cannot for the LIFE of my figure out what account/pass it wants, when I try to access the site remotely or locally.

I've set all the NTFS permissions as many times as a person possibly could to rule out anything annoying like that. I don't know why I can't do anything with this. Can anyone please help? My site isn't up but really that's besides the point since I can't pinpoint where these access denied messages are stemming from.
