You need upload wordpress files and folders in htdocs as that is your root.
If you want your domainname.com then you should upload contents of wordpress folder in your htdocs folder you should have in your htdocs folder
wp-admin
wp-includes
wp-contents
and all wp- files.
Delete wp-config.php file and leave wp-config-sample.php as is
now when you go to url you should have the install program open and you can follow instructions.
