I currently have a blog on Google's Blogger using my own domain name. I wish to replace that blog with a WordPress site that will also use that domain name once the WordPress site is completed.
Where is the best place to set up WordPress for the design phase? Local? On a subdomain at my host (HostGator - I have another site hosted there)? Could I change my domain's nameserver later? Basically, I need to keep my current blog alive while I design its replacement and I need a place to create the new site and then smoothly activate it.
